The same week Trask Industries begins its viral marketing campaign for Days of Future Past, Bryan Singer tweets (no surprise) a photo of a sentinel on set. Let me say that I am truly astonished at the size of this thing, despite the ones from the cartoons in the 90’s being much larger. I expected sentinels to be either human/mutant sized or towering beasts. What we got was something in between, but still looks awesome. Notice the translucent covering around the body and that purple is slick. The right arm has what appears to be a gun on it, so expect some violence from these machines in the film.

This doesn’t dissuade my initial fears of over crowding mutants into a film, nor the large number of stars (they’ll never achieve what the Avengers did), but it makes me have a nerd-gasm so hard.
