What a night. I didn’t sleep well due to all this Ben Affleck buzz (not a good thing, yet). I bet that guy is feeling that lashback via social media like nothing else. Somewhere in that announcement, amid all that chaos, WB announced the slated date for Batman/Superman to hit theaters, which we know have as July 17, 2015. This is always subject to change though.
I feel July is a good month for the film. Leaving it plenty of space from Avengers 2’s record shattering opening and giving it enough headroom before Star Wars VII hits in December (rumor, but most likely true). That means we could see one of the biggest years for the film industry EVER, all in sequels of course.
Also that year, we’ll be getting a Fantastic Four reboot from Fox, directed by Josh Trank (Chronicle). That film begins production this September in Louisiana.
Second part of this is to let you know what day you can bring Man of Steel into your home. November 12. There’s about 10 different versions you can get, so read the press release and decide if you want yours 3D or just Digital.
