I’m not sure how I feel about Disney Infinity to begin with. How only certain characters can interact in specific playsets is kind of a bust, and I’m not a huge fan of trying to build huge worlds by myself. Even the download mechanics for pre-made worlds leave a lot to be desired. However, that doesn’t mean the 2.0 update to include Marvel characters hasn’t caught my eye.

We’ve reported about the original 2.0 announcement which includes tons of images and information from the release, including how the Avengers will be the first characters to get. Secondly. the Ultimate Spider-Man (TV Cartoon) members will be making their rounds afterwards and add Venom to the roster of playable characters as well. But today, we have confirmation that the Guardians of the Galaxy will be getting their own playset and joining the other roster of Marvel heroes this fall.

You can check out Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax, Rocket, and Groot in their Disney-fied forms and see how their galactic space battles will play out compared to the other Frost Giant battles in the base set. Be ready to collect all 5 guardians after you fall in love with them in their movie next month!
