Aaron Taylor-Johnson, most notably known for his role in the Kick-Ass films as Kick-Ass himself, has signed on to play Quicksilver aka Pietro Maximoff in Marvel’s upcoming Avengers 2: Age of Ultron. We reported on this rumor several months ago and no word had been given on the actor’s position on in the film until today.

The reason for the delay between original rumor and talks and now is that Taylor-Johnson’s publicity schedule for the upcoming Godzilla film was conflicting with the shooting schedule for the Avenger’s superpowered sequel. Now that has apparently been worked out, we’ll get our second taste of Quicksilver in 2015. The first being from Bryan Singer’s upcoming X-Men: Days of Future Past, from Taylor-Johnson’s Kick-Ass costar Evan Peters (American Horror Story).

I think Kick-Ass will make a great Quicksilver, what do you think? Or am I being too quick on my decision?
