We got him! Spider-Man is in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He’s not fully owned by Marvel, but the deal with Sony should see more of him appearing in Marvel starting possibly as soon as 2016. With his appearance possibly in CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR setting up continuity, we will officially get SPIDER-MAN in theaters again July 28, 2017.
If you’ve been following any Marvel Phase 3 news, you’ll know thats the same day THOR: RAGNAROK was planned to release, however, this bit of news has thrown the schedule into disarray. This new addition to Marvel’s cinematic universe also changes the release dates of Black Panther, Captain Marvel, and Inhumans. Avengers: Infinity War parts 1 and 2 are not affected, thankfully!
Marvel’s “Thor: Ragnarok” will hit theaters November 3, 2017. The following year, Marvel’s “Black Panther” will make its way to theaters on July 6, 2018, and Marvel’s “Captain Marvel” on November 2, 2018. Finally, Marvel’s “Inhumans” will now debut in theaters July 12, 2019.The previously announced dates for Marvel’s “Avengers: Infinity War Part 1” and “Avengers: Infinity War Part 2” on May 4, 2018 and May 3, 2019, respectively, remain unchanged.
I have to say I’m sad Inhumans is now in 2019, but beggars can’t be choosers, right?
