Marvel has announced that their Ant-Man film that was slated for November 6, 2015 has been moved to July 31, 2015. This is a full 4 months earlier than scheduled and is probably somewhat related to Edgar Wright’s latest debut, The World’s End, which opened fairly strong. I also assume that Marvel has some new faith in the script and how the character may tie into Avengers 2: Age of Ultron. Expect an after credits scene.

It is also worth noting Ant-Man will kick off Phase 3 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, leading into currently uncharted territory. We have no knowledge of what may follow, but look for our speculation at a later date.

Ant-Man is being directed by Edgar Wright, and co-written by himself and Joe Cornish (Attack the Block). Preview the test footage that leaked earlier this year.
