Last Trailer for AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 Swings By

0

We’re excited for the AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 to come to theaters this May, officially kicking off the Summer movie outlet. Sony has released the final trailer for the upcoming film and they’ve really nailed this one. The web swinging in this film is out of this park and I can’t stress that enough. Watch how they’ve made it realistic and more than just gracefully glides between buildings. Its very…spider-like.

Watch the last trailer and let us know which villain you’re most excited to see in the film! Electro, Rhino, Green Goblin? We can’t wait!

Amazing ASSEMBLING A UNIVERSE Artwork

0

We’ve been hyping up ABC’s docu-special on Marvel, titled Assembling A Universe this week. From the tidbits of Guardians of the Galaxy to the speculative teases at Avengers 2: Age of Ultron, we got more than we bargained for.

The TV special showcased first looks at the Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver (Marvel’s version), the Hulkbuster Iron Man armor, and the Hulk as well from the upcoming Avengers sequel currently in production. Also, we got a few new images from Guardians of the Galaxy as well, showcasing Rocket Raccoon in both of them.

Lastly, the unexpected part, is two new glimpses at Ant-Man artwork. Since the casting of Paul Rudd, news on the film has been low but this concept art definitely reminds us the film is still on track. Take a look at all the awesome art below and stay tuned as we update it from the show!

See Glenn Close in new GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY Photos

If you haven’t already heard, ABC is releasing a documentary-series on Tuesday about Marvel. Titled Assembling A Universe, it tells Marvel’s story of how they’ve created the intertwined, cohesive cinematic experience. Chronicling all the movies, it even has glimpses of the unreleased CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER, GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY, and AVENGERS 2: AGE OF ULTRON.

From a recent preview of the show, we’ve gathered a few new, unseen photos of GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY, including what Glenn Close will actually look like as Nova Prime. Included is another look at Lee Pace as Ronan, the accuser as well. Take a look at our gallery below and stay tuned as we bring you all the latest and greatest news from Assembling a Universe this Tuesday.

THE WINTER SOLDIER Gets Artsy

We’ve seen these very artsy and stylistic posters for CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER in the wild, but now we have official releases from Marvel. Take a look at the posters which feature the titular Captain America (Chris Evans) and the Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan), as well as Nick Fury (Sam Jackson), Alex Pierce (Robert Redford), the Falcon (Anthony Mackie), and of course, the Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson).

Captain America: The Winter Soldier hits US theaters on April 4, 2012.

Marvel Special ASSEMBLING A UNIVERSE Next Week on ABC

0

This coming Tuesday at 8 PM EDT, ABC will be airing ASSEMBLING A UNIVERSE, a television special that will document the story and fame behind the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Instead of airing the (drastically better) Agents of SHIELD show, they’ll be giving us Marvel’s first special on tv. They also will have new scenes from Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Guardians of the Galaxy, and one of the very first looks at Avengers 2: Age of Ultron!

I think this special is important for those who have not had a chance to really learn about how Marvel crafted their intertwining movies and series, ultimately leading to the third largest film of all time. It wasn’t easy, it wasn’t safe, but they completed it successfully. Each year adds more and more to the plate, while also balancing the existing films, often using them as a jumping point for more movies. We recommend this for any fan of the Marvel movies, even if you’re not their biggest fan.

We have the first preview of the show and can’t wait to give you our reactions next week after it airs.

Artistic Posters for CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER Spotted

0

This weekend, the people over at ComingSoon.net have uncovered some new posters for THE WINTER SOLDIER in the wild. These haven’t been seen before, but have gone through a new artistic makeover using current character images.

Behind each character is a symbol that represents that character. Captain America has his shield, Black Widow has her widow logo, and Nick Fury has the SHIELD logo. Beyond that, we get new images for Falcon (a bird, duh) and Winter Soldier (a star with lines). Hopefully these will be officially released soon, but until then, take a look at these posters in the wild.

First Trailer for SIN CITY: A DAME TO KILL FOR

0

Normally we focus on the more superhero based comic book movies here at ComicUI. In that regards, we want to make sure we acknowledge that they are not the only source of comic book goodness out there in the world. From A History of Violence to Ghost World, non-superhero films that are based on comics can still make their way to the mainstream audience. Sin City was one of those books that has permeated that barrier and successfully set itself up to be a box office hit.

9 years later, that film finally gets a sequel with SIN CITY: A DAME TO KILL FOR and we have the first trailer. With its unique visual style and plethora of A-List actors, we can say we’re excited for this movie to release later this year. Let us know if this is on your radar for 2014.

First Full TRANSFORMERS: AGE OF EXTINCTION Trailer

After the tease during the Superbowl last month, we have the first full trailer for the upcoming fourth film in the Transformer’s franchise. Watch the TRANSFORMERS: AGE OF EXTINCTION trailer and let us know how excited you are for those Dinobots.

Also included are new posters for the film, including the new look for Optimus Prime.

Intense Extended CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER TV Spot

0

We’re exactly a month away from Marvel’s CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER gracing theaters worldwide. To celebrate that milestone, they have released an intense TV spot (should be internet spot, oh well) that gives us new footage. As Captain America puts it, “Damn right.”

Also of note, notice Sam Jackson as Nick Fury yells “Take me off the grid,” in this footage. Perhaps they can teleport him or its LMD related? I’m interested to see how technology and intelligence play out. Watch on!
