First Look: Iceman from Days of Future Past

0

Bryan Singer, you magnificent bastard. Almost every day on twitter he delivers us with another glimpse at the upcoming X-men: Days of Future Past, which began filming Monday. Over the weekend, we posted about seeing Patrick Stewart suiting up as Professor X again, and today he treats us to a brand new surprise, Shawn Ashmore as Iceman!

Unlike Iceman of previous films, this one is much older and may appear to have a permanent sort of ice look to him, hence the orange dots. They are used for tracking in animation and film effects, so who knows how it will end up? Needless to say, the more I see, the more excited I get. This isn’t the first image of a blue comic book character we’ve peeked at today, but each one has given me electrifying cold chills. Check it out below and share your excitement with the rest of us.

Opening in theaters on July 18, 2014, the movie also stars Hugh Jackman, Ian McKellen, James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender, Nicholas Hoult, Anna Paquin, Ellen Page, Shawn Ashmore, Peter Dinklage, Omar Sy, Halle Berry, Daniel Cudmore, Fan Bingbing and Boo Boo Stewart.

Sneak Peek: Jamie Foxx as Electro

1

The Amazing Spider-man 2 has been giving us tons of news view Marc Webb’s twitter, however today a ton of photos showing Jamie Foxx as Electro have hit the streets. Gone is the yellow and green costume with the wild headpiece, traded in for a blue hue which is almost creepy to look at. It is a direct relation to the Ultimate Electro costume, in which he is pure energy and blue all over, if one was to make an educated guess, which also goes along with the new Spider-man costume which has the Ultimate Spider-man eyes and feel. The cast and look of this movie have me more excited than the first one ever did, so lets hope we see a trailer in the next few weeks (or at least some official promo pics).

In The Amazing Spider-Man 2, for Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield), life is busy — between taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man and spending time with the person he loves, Gwen (Emma Stone), high school graduation can’t come quickly enough. Peter hasn’t forgotten about the promise he made to Gwen’s father to protect her by staying away — but that’s a promise he just can’t keep. Things will change for Peter when a new villain, Electro (Jamie Foxx), emerges, an old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, and Peter uncovers new clues about his past.

Iron Man 3 Post Credit Scene Revealed!

0

So you’ve come to read about Iron Man 3’s post credit scene, a trend that started with Iron Man 1 introducing us to Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury and the beginning of Phase 1 leading to the Avengers. Now we get our first Phase 2/Post-Avengers film and no one has any idea where it will go from here. Until today, we now have some information that will lead us through the next several years as we piece together the small clips that tail each Marvel film.

However, if you came here to read it directly, you have come to the wrong place. I did not read the link, no do I have any intention of doing so until the film releases in approximately 18 days or so, depending on which day you see it. Instead, I’ll bring you the link from ScreenCursh and give you a fair heads up, SPOILERS will be ahead. Good luck!

Iron Man 3 will be released May 3, directed by Shane Black and stars Robert Downey Jr, Ben Kingsley, Don Cheadle, Gwyneth Paltrow, Guy Pearce, Rebecca Hall, Paul Bettany (voice) and John Favreau.

Professor X Photos

X-Men "Days of Future Past" poster -- exclusive EW.com image

If you’re into X-men and have not been following Bryan Singer on twitter, then you need to get on that right now. Between his enthusiasm for showcasing pre-production for X-men: Days of Future Past that begins filming tomorrow (4-15) and Marc Webb’s on set shots for Amazing Spider-man 2, twitter is the place to get ALL the latest movie news and sneak peeks, so to speak. Today, Mr. Singer posted a photo of Sir Patrick Stewart in his Professor X outfit for the upcoming movie with the phrase “Picture before picture. Tomorrow it begins.” Check out the photo below and get prepared for as I expect more and more photos to come out of this production.

Opening in theaters on July 18, 2014, the movie also stars Hugh Jackman, Ian McKellen, James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender, Nicholas Hoult, Anna Paquin, Ellen Page, Shawn Ashmore, Peter Dinklage, Omar Sy, Halle Berry, Daniel Cudmore, Fan Bingbing and Boo Boo Stewart.

New Poster For the Wolverine

0

A new movie poster for The Wolverine has been released, however I’m still on the fence about this one. It showcases Logan with his claws out, yet a sword in his hand. At a distance, this is reminiscent of older posters that invoke that ‘Samurai’ or long warrior feeling, except that once one gets up close, the nuances in it become more apparent. The claws are fuzzy and located in an awkward position, the dual color schemes clash, rather than combine the image, and it just leaves much to be desired from Wolverine’s next outing. I can’t read japanese either, so hopefully it says something more badass than just “Wolverine” and “Honor.” How do you feel about the latest poster?

Releasing in 3D and 2D theaters on July 26, the next X-men related film stars Hugh Jackman, Will Yun Lee, Svetlana Khodchenkova, Hiroyuki Sanada, Hal Yamanouchi, Tao Okamoto, Rila Fukushima and Brian Tee.

[box_dark]

Based on the celebrated comic book arc, this epic action-adventure takes Wolverine, the most iconic character of the X-Men universe, to modern day Japan. Out of his depth in an unknown world he faces his ultimate nemesis in a life-or-death battle that will leave him forever changed. Vulnerable for the first time and pushed to his physical and emotional limits, he confronts not only lethal samurai steel but also his inner struggle against his own immortality, emerging more powerful than we have ever seen him before.

Captain America’s New Swag

3

The folks over at ComicBookMovie.com (now removed) have reportedly gotten their hands on a piece of concept art for Captain America: The Winter Soldier. This new work of art shows what could possibly be Captain America’s new outfit in his upcoming adventure which so happened to begin filming this week. Captain America: The Winter Soldier will be released April 4, 2014 and stars Chris Evans, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Scarlett Johansson,Emily VanCamp, Frank Grillo, Cobie Smulders, Toby Jones, Samuel L. Jackson, and Robert Redford.

Captain America: Winter Soldier SuitThis new outfit retains the helmet of the Avengers, but combines the sleekness of Steve Rogers during the Secret Invasion comic event (image included below). The suit remains sufficient for his needs, yet not too much armor that would hinder his abilities. In all honesty, it feels like a true Captain’s outfit, instead of just a soldier. Sound off in the comments and tell us what you think.

Over 700 Free Marvel Comics

0

Earlier this year, Marvel and Comixology teamed up to provide over 700 free digital issues of Marvel comics, under the caveat that they are #1 issues. This isn’t a bad deal, seeing as the first issues can give you a good idea how the series will go, this was very true for the Avengers #1 (2012) for me. So hurry on over to Marvel’s website to sign up for the offer before midnight tonight! Issues will be handed out starting at the end of this week and read them on your tablet of choice!
