Edgar Wright Posts Ant-Man Photo To Twitter

0

First and foremost, let me stop ALL the rumors here. Ant-Man is NOT in production phase yet. This is purely a special effects test or a photo from the teaser they showed last year. This is fact because A) Marvel would not film Ant-Man before Avengers 2. Especially several months before scheduled production starts. B) There have been on casting announcements or rumors, and trust me, those will hit hard and heavy before filming begins. C) That suit and post looks like its straight out of the effects test.

I truly believe Edgar Wright and Ant-Man are in pre-production mode and are working to finalize effects, the suit, and how the film will look before filming any of those scenes, so don’t believe anyone is stepping behind official cameras yet.Until then, take a look at the photo Wright tweeted this morning.

Marvel Puzzle Quest: Dark Reign This Thursday

0

Out of the blue, in the biggest week of gaming history, Marvel decides to announce there is a Puzzle Quest version of the Dark Reign storyline coming out on iOS and Android this Thursday. I didn’t see this coming, but apparently it’s been available in the Philippines iTunes store for a while now. Puzzle Quest for XBOX and Puzzle Quest 2 for iPad are some of my favorite games. Imagine if your Bejeweled games actually meant something and you could attack a computer playing who is sharing the board. Its rather addicting if I say so myself. Anyways, here’s the description and some photos to hold you over until October 3. Check back then for official release information.

Marvel Puzzle Quest: Dark Reign

Assemble a team of Marvel’s biggest super heroes and villains and battle with Puzzle Quest’s trademark match-3 and story-telling gameplay in a game that combines favorite Marvel characters with a deep RPG leveling, player vs. player, character upgrades, and more.

In the wake of the Iso-8 Outbreak, the super hero community struggles to recover. Taking advantage of the chaos, super villains take control of National Security. Dark Reign follows these events that twist the destinies of both the heroes and villains of the Marvel Universe forever.

The Wolverine Slashes Into Your Home This December

0

The Wolverine was one of my favorite Comic Book Movies this summer, simply because it was surprising and much more character focused than any recent Wolverine entry. You can read my review here if you’re on the fence. Today, Fox has revealed that we can bring home The Wolverine on December 3 in a variety of formats. Read on for the press release and cover art.

Please note that you can only get the Unleashed Extended Edition Blu-Ray with the 3D combo, however the Extended Edition is not in 3D. Weird, but this is the first time I’ve seen publishers push 3D with limited non-3D features.

The year’s most  action packed blockbuster comes home as THE WOLVERINE debuts its 4 disc Blu-ray Unleashed Extended Edition, 2 disc Blu-ray, DVD and Digital HD on December 3 from Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment.  Directed by James Mangold (Knight and Day, 3:10 to Yuma, Walk The Line), THE WOLVERINE inspired by the celebrated Marvel comic book arc and featuring Hugh Jackman, in the title role takes the hero to a Japan he hasn’t seen since World War II – and into a shadowy realm of ninjas, mutants, and a brand new class of villains.  To date the film has topped over $371 million in the worldwide box office becoming the highest grossing film in the franchise internationally.

Jackman returns as The Wolverine and faces his ultimate nemesis in an action-packed, life-or-death battle that takes him to modern-day Japan. Vulnerable for the first time and pushed to his limits, Wolverine confronts not only lethal samurai steel but also his inner struggle against his own immortality; an epic fight that will leave him forever changed.
THE WOLVERINE Blu-ray will allow fans to sync with the Second Screen app where viewers can immerse themselves in the world of The Wolverine, including a synced viewing experience, concept art, and many more cool and interactive bonus materials! The Unleashed Extended Edition will feature an extended cut of the film for the first time ever in the entire X-Men franchise, allowing viewers to go further into the creation of the darker Wolverine and the journey that he undertakes. THE WOLVERINE Unleashed Extended Edition Blu-ray includes 3D Blu-ray, DVD and Digital HD™, complete with exclusives that make it the perfect gift for the holidays.
THE WOLVERINE Unleashed Extended Edition – Blu-ray 3D/Blu-ray/DVD/Digital HD

Look at the Super Vehicles for LEGO Marvel Super Heroes

0

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes hits shelves on October 22 and this past weekend I watched around 30 minutes of unrestricted gameplay at Eurogamer Expo (via YouTube). I’m impressed with the size, abilities, and variety the game is bringing to the table. From Mr. Fantastic becoming a teacup, Captain America’s star spangled aiming circle, or Stan Lee’s endless number of abilities. I’ve already put my money down on a pre-order of the game and cannot wait to pick it up and play.
Today, IGN got their hands on the vehicles we will see in the game and they range from awesome to rather silly. The Magneto Mobile? I wasn’t aware Magneto would resort to such travesties, but anyways, take a look at a few of the options available for you to cruise around Manhatten in while you’re playing as one of the 155 characters.

Two THOR: THE DARK WORLD Trailers Hit Like Lightning

0

Thor: The Dark World is right around the corner and we all know it. As marketing ramps up for the film, we get two more trailers for the film showing off some new shots. Take a look at the (uncreatively) named trailers #5 and #6 and stay tuned as we count down to THORsday. In the meantime, scroll down for a closer look at Idris Elba as Heimdall from the film.

UPDATED in HD:Avengers 2: Age of Ultron Teaser Footage

0

The teaser trailer from Comic Con that gave us Avengers 2: Age of Ultron has now surfaced online. It is low quality and consists of old footage and dialogue from Avengers, so don’t expect a whole lot. I’m not sure even the movie script is completed either but this is just cool. Take a look at it before Disney/Marvel remove it.

Updated: New video link, the other went private.

UPDATE 2: Straight from the Iron Man 3 Blu-Ray and Jarvis App, we get an HD look at the trailer from Comic-Con 2013. For us, the public. This is practically unheard off, maybe that Guardians footage is on there too…

Update 3: That video was removed. So we’re going round 3!

THORSday Marathon

0

Thor: The Dark World is scheduled to hit theaters on November 8 of this year, but like any popular movie, theaters will be showing it the day before official release. This November 7, AMC and Regal Cinemas (probably more too) will be having a Thor Marathon you can attend. Featured films will be Thor, The Avengers and then Thor: The Dark World. Sure, its one movie short of the Iron Man Marathon I attended in LA, but you also get a full size poster and a collectible lanyard.

The marathon starts at 2:30 PM on Thursday, November 7 and starts with Thor. All movies will be shown in RealD 3D, so if you’re not a fan of that be warned.  AMC has tickets available for purchase online and it looks like it will run you around $25 for the three films ($30 if you have a dine-in theater, lucky). Despite my inherent love for all things Marvel, this may be one marathon I forgo and instead catch the IMAX screening a week earlier. When I saw Thor the first time, I got a special collector’s frame from the film with my ticket, which is pretty sweet.

Let us know if you plan on spending your THORsday at the theater.
