STAR WARS EPISODE VII has resumed filming and some new aerial shots (that seems to be the thing these days) show off a half constructed Millennium Falcon and an X-Wing fighter outside the set of the movie. It is awfully refreshing that Star Wars and Disney and JJ Abrams have all decided to take this film back to its roots and do actual props.

As you can tell, that Millennium Falcon is going to be pretty much life size. That is quite a feat for the spaceship that made the Kessel Run in less than 12 parsecs. You heard me. With this ship being built in real life, it’ll be fun to see the detail and how they’ll use it in the final film.

Along side this, you can see an X-Wing hanging out in a….wait for it….hangar. Its covered in tarps or some covering that doesn’t give us a full view, but something close enough. The X-Wings are just as iconic as the Falcon and should be a part of the film.

I can’t wait for Star Wars to return to form and film December 2015 and this only makes me that much more giddy. Here’s to hoping the wait isn’t for a long, long time, nor the end result is something from a galaxy far, far away.
