Main Cast featured in DAREDEVIL Character Posters

0

We are less than two weeks away from the release of Marvel’s DAREDEVIL on Netflix, an event that will go down in history for the studio and superhero properties in general. All 13 episodes at once on a streaming service. This will also be the second time Marvel has reimagined a character that has had a recent film release since the 2000’s, the first being the Hulk. And to hype people up more than they already are, they have released character posters teasing the five main leads of the series.

First up, we’ll get yet another look at Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock/Daredevil. Lawyer by day, vigilante by night. Then, we get a good look at Elden Henson as his law partner, Foggy Nelson (originally played by Jon Favreau in the first movie, who went on to direct Iron Man/play Happy Hogan for Marvel). Deborah Ann Woll shows up as Karen Page, a tragic lover of Matt Murdock. Interestingly enough, Claire Temple aka Night Nurse played by Rosario Dawson will be in the show, someone who takes care of the vigilante’s injuries, since he can’t really get to a hospital. And lastly, Vincent D’Onofrio as Kingpin, someone who probably puts this injuries on Daredevil himself.

From this lineup alone, I think we’re looking at 13 hours of superhero TV show that will be talked about and remembered for years to come. It will be a visually dark piece and there of course will be blood. Check out the character posters and come back in 2 weeks when we give you our sight on Marvel’s DAREDEVIL.

DEADPOOL Official Costume Revealed

0

The star and biggest proponent of the upcoming DEADPOOL movie has taken to Twitter to reveal the costume for the mercy with a mouth. With the text: “With great power comes great irresponsibility,” it is a most fitting way to unveil the official outfit, as the character lays across a bearskin rug.

What you can tell from the picture is that this new outfit is very much in tradition with what we know when we think or see Deadpool. It seems very cosplay-ish as well, from the spandex look, to the over abundance of strapped on holsters. At least we get that sweet Deadpool belt buckle.

If we find out more on this image and DEADPOOL in general, we’ll let you know. Until then, prepare for irresponsibility.

X-MEN APOCALYPSE Gains Jubilee

0

The latest addition to X-MEN: APOCALYPSE has been confirmed by director Bryan Singer via Instagram. Jubilee, a fan favorite from the 90’s cartoon, has been cast and will be portrayed by young actress Lana Condor.

We do not know where she came from or what the film’s plans are for Jubilee, but this is definitely shaping up to be a huge movie full of popular X-Men characters. From the First Class trilogy characters as Xavier, Mystique, Beast, and Magneto, it is also confirmed that Cyclops, Jean Grey, and a young Storm will be making appearances as well. Further indication is that a future Magneto and Storm, portrayed by their early counterparts Ian McKellan and Halle Berry, and it wouldn’t be an X-Men film without Wolverine showing up at least once. Lastly, Gambit as Channing Tatum will somehow make it into the film.

Thats right. Almost every X-man to ever exist all in one film taking the fight to Apocalypse, the biggest baddie that isn’t the US Government in an X-Men film to date. Will we have another X-Men 3 on our hands or is the most brilliant team-up film ever? We’ll see in 2016.

I’d officially like to welcome our newest mutant #JubilationLee, #Jubilee @LanaCondor to #XMEN #Apocalypse

AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR Directors Confirmed

0

In an unsurprising move, it has been confirmed that Marvel is going to have the Russo bros. of CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER direct the third and fourth Avengers films, Infinity War. This was reported during the Sony email leaks that the duo would be returning for not just CIVIL WAR in 2016, but the INFINITY WAR movies the years following.

This actually makes a lot of sense with CIVIL WAR having a ton of characters in it. Starring Captain America against rival Tony Stark, other current superheroes rumored to be included are: Hawkeye, Black Widow, Quicksilver Scarlet Witch, Falcon, War Machine, and Nick Fury. Additional casting has Black Panther, Spider-Man, Wasp, and Captain Marvel in talks to be involved with the film. If Marvel plays their cards right and doesn’t over saturate the film (I believe in the Russos), this will be a great segue into the INFINITY WAR films against Thanos.

Included in this update is that Christopher Markus and Stephen Freely will be scripting the film, as they frequently work with Marvel. Their credits include Captain America: The First Avenger, Thor: The Dark World, The Winter Soldier, Civil War, and Agent Carter, they’ve got their hands deep into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This could be a huge boon for the studio, as they have history and know whats going on between the characters, starting at the beginning.

If you’re on the fence about this update, thats ok, but we’ll be updating more as CIVIL WAR hasn’t even started production yet. We’ll keep our eye on the INFINITY WAR and if the Russo bros will handle it directly.

Marvel’s DAREDEVIL Gets a New Motion Poster

0

We’ve already seen one motion poster from next month’s DAREDEVIL release. The Marvel and Netflix produced series is a huge step in both tone and format for the studio, releasing all 13 episodes at once on the digital service and being a mature tone. With that, many people have asked two main questions: 1. Will Daredevil tie into the larger Marvel universe? and 2. Are we going to see his classic suit?

This motion poster answers both with a resounding YES! From the start, you can tell this motion poster is going to be different. It has Matt Murdock emerging from a dark alley and his reflection is obviously a low-res version of his final outfit when he becomes DAREDEVIL. But if you look closely in the background, you can see the AVENGERS tower from upcoming AGE OF ULTRON is looming over Hell’s Kitchen.

Forget the fact that it has Kingpin, Night Nurse, Foggy Nelson, and Karen Page as the Daredevil staples in the same motion poster, but get excited that we’re only 3 weeks away from release. April will indeed be a  great month for any and every Marvel fan. We’ll see you April 10 only on Netflix.

Super Cool AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON TV Spot

0

First things first (I’m the realest), no just kidding, but TV spots for movies are a BIG no-no for me. I learned this from Mike Royer (my co-host of Superhero Slate podcast) and we actively avoid them. However, sometimes something so big and powerful comes along, I have to see it, just from the raucous it is causing. That my friends, is this second TV Spot for AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON.

I’m not going to give away any details in case you don’t want to be spoiled, but to be fair this is a pretty spoiler free trailer. It shows action, humor, and Quicksilver speaks! Theres enough in this 60 seconds to make me know I’m going to be giddy like a school girl come April 30 when I watch it.

So without further hesitation, here is the second TV Spot for Marvel’s AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON on ComicUI.

New Official FANTASTIC FOUR Images

0

FANTASTIC FOUR is coming this August and I’m still not sure how to feel. Prior to the trailer a few weeks ago, I had zero hope and was honestly sad for it. However, when I saw it, it definitely is a Fantastic Four movie unlike what I dreamed. It seems sciencey, looks beautiful, and has that Ultimate vibe.

Now I stand a bit more anticipating it’s release, cautiously optimistic. To help me feel even more undecided, here are 4 new images from TotalFilm that gives us a look at Reed Richards, Johnny Storm, and Sue Storm all suited up for adventure.

Will this truly be the most fantastic fourth film about the characters? Time will tell.

FANTASTIC FOUR, a contemporary re-imagining of Marvel’s original and longest-running superhero team, centers on four young outsiders who teleport to an alternate and dangerous universe, which alters their physical form in shocking ways. Their lives irrevocably upended, the team must learn to harness their daunting new abilities and work together to save Earth from a former friend turned enemy.

Fantastic Four stars Miles Teller as Mr. Fantastic, Kate Mara as The Invisible Woman, Michael B. Jordan as The Human Torch, Jamie Bell as The Thing, and Toby Kebbell as Victor Domashev/Doctor Doom. Directed by Josh Trank and written by Simon Kinberg, The Fantastic Four is set to be released on August 7th, 2015.

STAR WARS: ROGUE ONE Movie Announced

0

During a Disney Shareholder held on March 12, Lucasfilm announced that Rogue One, the first Star Wars spinoff movie, will be released on December 16, 2016.

We’ve known there will be 3 spinoff movies to coincide with the release of 3 trilogy movies, with these taking place in-between main STAR WARS releases. Now we have a title and release date for the first, as well as more information regarding the production. The film will be directed by Gareth Edwards (GodzillaMonsters), and written by Chris Weitz (CinderellaAntz). Felicity Jones (The Amazing Spider-Man 2The Theory of Everything) was also announced as the first cast member signed on to the movie.

For those not versed in Star Wars lore, Rogue One is the callsign given to the leader of the elite Rebel Alliance flight squad known as Rogue Squadron. Wedge Antilles and Luke Skywalker have both been given the callsign in the past. This probably means we can look forward to a movie with plenty of spaceship dogfighting.

Details about the plot remain under wraps, but the idea for Rogue One is said to come from John Knoll, an Academy Award-winning visual effects supervisor and chief creative officer at Industrial Light & Magic. Knoll will executive produce Rogue One, alongside Simon Emanuel (The Dark Knight Rises, Fast & Furious 6) and Jason McGatlin (Tintin, War of the Worlds). Kathleen Kennedy and Tony To (Band of Brothers, The Pacific) will produce and John Swartz (Star Wars: The Force Awakens) will co-produce.

Also, Rian Johnson has been confirmed as the writer and director of “Star Wars: Episode VIII,” the next installment in the sequel trilogy that starts with “The Force Awakens.” That film has a release date of May 26, 2017, which is 40 years and a day after the original “Star Wars” premiered in theaters. This is a surprising move to have STAR WARS movies 6 months apart and only 18 months after its prequel.

Rogue One starts filming in London this summer, until then, let us remember Porkins, our favorite Rogue Squadron member.

Marvel’s DAREDEVIL Official Trailer

0

The first official trailer for Marvel’s DAREDEVIL premiering in exactly 1 month on Netflix has arrived. Hopefully you’re not too busy catching the debut of Powers on the Playstation Network to not watch this trailer.

In what can be described as truly dark, Daredevil looks to be a nighttime show with a shadow cast over the daytime duties of Matt Murdock, Attorney at Law. From here, we see the Kingpin, some action scenes, and exactly how Daredevil learned to fight and harness his abilities.

Next to that, it looks like this isn’t an easy task for the characters. There will be blood, bruises, cuts, and more. Perhaps if he did have an iron suit or magic hammer…

Again, check out every episode of Marvel’s Daredevil on April 10 only on Netflix.

It’s time to let the devil out. Marvel’s Daredevil is here to clean up the streets of Hell’s Kitchen, New York. Lawyer by day, street-level hero by night, Matt Murdock is on a mission to make his city a better place against an underground terror within the city.
