Our source at Netflix and Marvel’s DAREDEVIL has been busy. First they let us know that Matt Murdock’s costume will be red and black, and now they’re sharing the invitation to celebrate wrapping on filming.
This is a screenshot from his computer, and we’ve of course blurred out locations/email addresses to protect the event. The last thing ComicUI wants to do is ruin a Marvel production party! The most interesting part of this invitation is that it states Season 1 of DAREDEVIL. Season 1? This implies Marvel and Netflix have enough faith in the series that it should see a Season 2 or more. Hopefully it doesn’t mean AKA JESSICA JONES is Season 2 [...]
Bryan Singer has released a ton of photos from the production of the next X-Men movie, Days of Future Past. We’ve followed those for a while now, posting the new and noteworthy (some weren’t even fun), but now that production on the film has wrapped, we got a few images over the weekend to share with you.
First up, we get Hank McCoy (Beast), Xavier, and Wolverine looking might snazzy in their 70’s attire, walking through the halls of Xavier’s school for the gifted. This location is visible in nearly every X-Men movie and leads to either the Danger Room or Cerebro (or both). Whats interesting to note is that McCoy is in his human form, despite how we [...]
This isn’t as spoilerish or teasing as much as usual, but Bryan Singer’s latest tweet brings out the filmmaker in me. He posted a picture on the social network site (below) and along with it had the following statement “Brightest set I’ve ever filmed on. #3600framespersecond #Quicksilver #XMen #DaysOfFuturePast” which happens to be blowing my mind right now.
Filming at 3600 frames per second is around 150 times more frames per second than average film (24 fps), which means it can be slowed down by a rate of 150 as well, meaning that Quicksilver moves that much faster than normal people (until visual effects and post production is done on the [...]
The same week Trask Industries begins its viral marketing campaign for Days of Future Past, Bryan Singer tweets (no surprise) a photo of a sentinel on set. Let me say that I am truly astonished at the size of this thing, despite the ones from the cartoons in the 90’s being much larger. I expected sentinels to be either human/mutant sized or towering beasts. What we got was something in between, but still looks awesome. Notice the translucent covering around the body and that purple is slick. The right arm has what appears to be a gun on it, so expect some violence from these machines in the film.
This doesn’t dissuade my initial fears of over crowding mutants into [...]
