Black Lightning strikes at Fox

Black Lightning strikes at Fox

by Christopher DillardSeptember 8, 2016

The newest show from Greg Berlanti (The Flash, Arrow, Supergirl) created based on Black Lightning, a DC comics character of course, has potentially found its home on Fox TV.

This will be  DC Comics third series at Fox, with Gotham returning for its third season in a couple of weeks and Lucifer going into its second. Berlanti and Schechter will executive produce the pilot with Salim and Mara Brock Akil writing the television adaptation of the comic.

This is not a confirmation of a full series, however, the pilot must be good enough to warrant that. The show could see Jefferson Pierce, a character who made his choice years ago to hang up his suit and secret identity. However, his hell-bent on justice, star student daughter being recruited into a local gang pulls him back into the vigilante game as the DC Comics hero: Black Lightning.
